Road Report
This report provides an overview of the current road conditions, maintenance efforts, and future considerations for roadwork within the community.
Tree Policy
Here are the procedures that the POA follows for fallen trees.
By-laws
By-laws of Maggie Valley Country Club Estates Property Owners Association, Inc.
What are the benefits of being a member of the POA?
- Member signs at your street entrance
- Mowing along the roadways that are in addition to the Road District funds expended for regular mowing
- Leaf removal from critical ditches to provide for proper drainage (while this is ultimately the responsibility of the homeowner, we have many unimproved lots that provide an abundance of leaves). We have one major project paid for by the Road District, but we have supplemental limb and leaf cleanup as needed.
- Culvert cleanup and maintenance
- Watchdog for absentee members to make sure that trees falling from their property are not obstructing the roadways, and securing services for absentee members to remove fallen trees if necessary. (We do need phone numbers for members and non-members for this.)
- Planned activities to meet your neighbors.
- Support neighborhood watch systems to look after all properties
- Legal opinions are necessary to resolve questions about property lines, easements, and rights of way.
- Signage is necessary for safe travel in the country club area (not all signage is supplied by the county, and it cannot be considered part of the Road District fund for “road maintenance”)
- Erosion control devices to channel water
- Some curbing in areas to redirect water into drainage ditches
- Monthly updates on the activities of MVCCE POA
- Seasonal decor at entrances
- An annual meeting for all members
- An active Board that works to keep all of these items and our roads in great shape
